Description
Your cat sniffed the catnip toy once and walked off. Or the cat that used to hunt the hallway now watches it from the sofa. Silvervine is a different plant, with a scent of its own: this soft Christmas tree plush is a silvervine cat toy with air-dried leaf mixed through its stuffing, for your cat to sniff, lick and hold.
A green Christmas tree with a yellow star on top, a smiling face and a brown trunk. About 6 to 9 cm.
Best For
-
Senior cats: a soft body for batting and hugging, at your cat's own pace.
-
Cats that ignore catnip: a different plant, worth a try before you give up on herb toys.
-
Owners building a toy rotation: a second scent to swap in when the old toys go quiet.
-
A friend with a cat: beautifully packaged in its own MoriCat bag, ready to give as it is.
- Catnip did nothing? Silvervine is a different plant, and some cats that ignore catnip go for it.
-
Real leaf, not a label: plenty of toys called Silvervine hold none. Ours holds air-dried leaf, largely whole.
-
Backed by research: a 2023 study found dried Silvervine leaf benefits cats as a scent toy.
-
Silvervine only: no catnip in the mix, so you know what your cat is reacting to.
-
Non-addictive, according to research: a 2023 study found cats with constant access to dried Silvervine leaf showed no signs of addictive behaviour.
-
Keeps for months: sealed at room temperature, out of the sun, the leaf stays ready.
Not every cat responds to Silvervine. Set it down nearby and give it two tries on different days. Still a no? Catnip is a different plant, and worth a try.
